Happen to U?: Front doors not opening

Hey, I love my 2016 Model S and haven’t had too many issues. Mostly little/fixable things like: -yellow screen replacement -bad USB port wiring -not downloading new maps, so no Navigate on Autopilot for a while -Autopilot quitting (problem after new screen replacement) But my wife’s X has had...

    App not unlocking car

For the past 3-4 months the Tesla app hasn’t been able to unlock my car. It’ll vent the sunroof, handle the climate, etc. But no unlocking car or opening the trunk. Car software: 2019.12.1.1 4b1dd29 App software: 3.8.4 (29e97dace) I’ve tried reinstalling app many times. And I’ve tried...

Poll.. do you use navigation every time you drive?

Before the 9.0 update, I always had the map in the top half. Bottom half was usually music, but sometimes energy during long trips. So.... the 9.0 update has t really changed much “screen wise” for me. But, under the heading of “Happy Wife —> Happy Life,” my wife likes to split the screen...

Possible to have rear camera & music windows on main screen w/ 9.0?

It looks like maybe the map *has* to be up on half of the screen. So I’m assuming that means you can’t split the screen between just the rear view camera and music, for example. Is that right? Wife wants camera & music. Thanks, Rob

    Vibrations at ~30 mph?

My wife is having an issue with her X. When accelerating she gets a strange vibration right around 30mph. To me, it almost feels like the tires are over-spinning or something. Not saying they are.... just saying it's what it makes me think of when it happens. Service Center told her it's...

Brake Noise (anyone else hear this?)

Hey Everyone, My wife has a question about her Model X: "I get a friction type of sound when I apply my brakes. It's not a squeak like ordinary brake pad issues. It's just a rubbing kind of sound. When it first started I had a big ice build up around the wheels so I thought it was just rubbing...

Liftgate handle not working, Model X

I can no longer open my 2 month old car manually from the back. Lift gate works fine from the remote and from the car interior screen but exterior handle stopped working. At first I thought it was frozen. Then I thought maybe it had gotten some snow and road chemical up in there to jam it so I...

Sirius XM - No Channel Listing

What do you mean specifically? Sorry, but I'm not familiar with Sirius. She says she mostly just wants 4-5 favorite channels to go to. Will that be easy/possible, if she switches the account to the Model X?

    Opinions on 5-seater vs. 7-seater?

Too late now. Backseat AC in our S hasn't been great, but good enough that I'm not overly worried about the extra AC unit. But thanks for telling me. Might have been bigger issue for wife. Not sure.

    Opinions on 5-seater vs. 7-seater?

Thanks to both of you for advice. She ended up going for the 5-seater. Kids are real tall teenagers who aren't gonna want to seat in 3rd row, so she saved a little money and went with 5-seater.

Cargo diff. between 5 & 7 seat with seats folded

We've been to a store, but the Model X they have still has the 2nd row seats that have a single pillar and don't fold all the way down. And the pics on website are pretty limited. Videos on YouTube are often from older versions or just discuss that person's individual Model X rather than compare...

**Sorry if this has already been covered. I looked for, but didn't see a recent thread on it.** I'm wondering about the cargo space difference between: --> 5-seat config with seats up vs. 7-seat confit with 3rd row folded. Also, difference between: --> 5-seat confit with 2nd row folded vs...

    Supercharger - Charleston, WV

So what's the difference? The point is that Model S's can have a bike hitch and orientation of the Supercharger means they can park normally. That's a good thing for people who normally have to park sideways and perhaps take up more than one slot.

Hey Folks, My car came with rear USB's that didn't work. I've got a terrific Tesla ranger who has come by twice to fix them, but still no good. The first delay was for a part from Tesla, but now it seems like it's a wiring problem. So.... I'm curious whether anyone else has had a similar...

    Supercharger - Charleston, WV

I managed to get a quote in that article. Funny, but when my wife and I did a list of Pros/Cons prior to buying our Tesla, the lack of a Central West Virginia supercharger was a fairly big con. Previous cons that can be scratched: -lack of Central WV supercharger -lack of service center in...

Supercharger-Charleston, WV site possibly discovered?? [no]

So, seems like the Courtyard would be better than nothing, but that the best scenario would be a Tesla only supercharger station a small bit out of town where there'd be a greater chance of availability. Charleston is such an important location for both east-west and north-south traffic, so...

I'm running Tesla App 3.0.1 on my iPhone 6. My Model S software is 17.9.3. For the past week or so, I've been able to contact the car through the app, but it always fails to charge the climate. For both the Tesla App and the Remote S App. Any ideas of a fix? It seems like the connection is...

Why AP 2.0 Won't Be Here Soon, and It Won't Be What You Think It Is

As with all purchases, buyer beware. Do your research. For me, part of research when considering a Tesla was: Reading Elon's biography to better understand his methods/madness/timelines. Joining this wonderful website and develing deep into all opinions. Those two things have kept my eyes wide...

Throughout the researching/ordering/waiting/obtaining/owning periods I think...

    Overnight Charging in Charleston, WV?

Thanks for thoughts. Sounds like an "exciting" plan . Makes me wonder: 1) how much the elevation changes would hurt? 2) whether it'd be possible to sleep near a McDonalds and charge overnight (is that allowed?) 3) whether I'll have another "close call" range issue between now and then, since...

Seems to me, I've read a few posts where people are getting only a 10-15% hit on range. Guess I'll never know until I get one, but I'd be fine with that kind of a hit. As far as amount of stuff is concerned, that seems relative. Don't think I'd need it a ton. Certainly a few times a year...
