I got my VIN and delivery date May 28-31 this morning for Mt Kisco pickup. Will try to schedule for Monday since I still need to figure out travel arrangements to get there. This is for an April 9 order. Yesterday the dates went from 6-10 weeks to June 10-26. Then boom, VIN overnight.
im in the same boat waiting for them to contact me to schedule payment and pickup
I picked up my MY today at Mt. Kisco. Very smooth process in that the car was ready for me even though I got there 15 minutes early. I inspected the car and the only thing I found was what appeared to be an abrasion on the glass roof. I kind of went, "@#$@# Nooooooooooooooo" for a second but it ended up being some polisher that wiped right off. In and out in less than 30 minutes. The delivery specialist said they have a lot of cars at their offsite facility and today was really the first day with a steady flow of deliveries in a while, he expects the pace to pickup and continue right until the end of quarter next month. I was glad I was able to take delivery on the front end.

My only other comment is related to my drive home in the rain. Autopilot really struggled (aborting often) in a moderate rainfall (wipers set to the lowest continuous setting) throughout the day, it got annoying after a while. I don't know if this behavior is different now that the radar is gone, but "Tesla Vision" has a lot of room for improvement based on my first impressions.

Coming from a Chevy Bolt supercharging was awesome and the acceleration, even on wet roads, almost got me in trouble a couple of times as the Bolt would just spin the tires if you tried to push it too hard. Oh, my car was born in April and did not have the new headlights or free mud flaps or free rear panel protection. Which is fine since I already have the flaps and PPF on the way.

I was able to call the store and schedule a pickup time directly. Keep in mind this was right when the initial wave of VIN# went out (aka I called the store at opening the next morning) and they really hadn't started scheduling deliveries yet. Now that deliveries are in full swing I am not sure they could be as accommodating.

…or even be available to answer phones as was my experience.

Mount kisco off site storage is a big parking lot behind some stores there. When I got my model 3 a couple years ago they had hundreds of cars sitting in that lot and they drove me over to get my car.
I’m assuming it’s the same now. They also use parking lots in the neighboring lots. Some of those buildings are currently unoccupied

For those of you picking up your cars in NY. Do we need to upload a copy of our insurance card before scheduling delivery or just have it uploaded by the actual delivery date?
do it before. its a pre-delivery task. bring the proof of insurance to delivery day. They wont let you drive off without it being insured via the tesa vin in NY. bring a copy also to be safe

I have to take delivery in Mt Kisco to avoid paying sales tax or paying extra to have it shipped to me and then waiting a week for registration papers to be able to drive it.

My SA is in RI and has been insisting that I would take delivery the first two weeks of June and today he broadened it to hopefully sometime the month of June so 🤷‍♂️. I hope I get a VIN this week.
