My EDD finally changed from September to 7/11 - 7/31 this morning! Much better than the previous EDD of 7/20 - 8/9

Question — do cars in NY come with plates already? Or are they temp plates

Mine came with permanent plates. Rear installed, front was waiting for instructions. I asked them not to install so that I could use my Quick Bandit. The registration card is temporary and good for 45 days. I am awaiting postal delivery of the permanent registration.

I got the quick bandit through the Teslarati marketplace. Took about 7 business days. I've found that anything being shipped from California (Tesla included) takes about 5-7 business days if shipped to New York. It's all ground shipping unless you pay for expedited of course.

They put the rear plate on (the real one) and put the front plate in the trunk. They asked me if I wanted them to install it once I arrived. I declined. No temp plates in NY.

For those with Brooklyn delivery location, do they install the front license plate or have mechanism to secure front plate?

Also interested in knowing. I'm going on 21 days and still have no documents from the DMV. Pre-covid I think I was able to get documents within about 7 days.

I was just about to ask the same question! I'm at 22 days and still no sign of it in today's mail. The temp reg. expired a week ago, but I'm still driving.

I got it today. It came from Tesla Brooklyn center

I called DMV and they said that they mailed it out on the 15th. It took 2 weeks+ to get to me

Quick update: I picked up my MYLR from Mt. Kisco yesterday. The car is flawless (June build date) and Mt. Kisco SA’s were great. The place was packed, with each SA handling several deliveries at the same time. My SA said they are doing close to 80 deliveries a day until end of quarter. As for the car, I had high expectations, which were instantly exceeded as soon as you hit the accelerator. The car is unbelievable and definitely worth the wait. The only thing I was hoping for but didn’t get was the rear PPF - I am going to purchase it myself.

We ordered 5/21 and our delivery dates were 8/12-9/1 last night. And this morning it changed to 8/23-9/12 MYLR White/Black Gemini 5 seats

I bought the quick bandit and brought it with me. I told the SA to not install the front plate.

I contacted my local Tesla showroom here in LI to check out the Model Y again but was told they have no Model Ys for test drive or in the showroom. They expect to get some in a couple of weeks. The only location is in NJ, Princeton location.
I just need to confirm the backseat space before I place an order.

Ordered 6/23. EDD fluctuating from mid august to mid September. Picking up from Mt Kisco. Still have yet to test drive or even sit inside a MY lol
