Reducing cruise control speed

Can the cruise control maximum speed be reduced? Prior to an “upgrade” a while back there were + and - buttons beside the speed to adjust it - but they have now gone. This would be particularly useful in roadworks on motorways where the limit is often 50 mph but the car still thinks the limit is 70!

The right scroll wheel on the steering wheel. Scrolling down slowly goes 1 mph (or kph) at a time. A quick flick does 5 mph at a time. If you click left or right on that wheel, it will change the following distance from the car ahead
