Hi,
I just took delivery of an amazing Model X long range W/Cream/20/FSD . The car production birthdate was 03/10.
I couldn't find a single issue (after following the guide).
Gaps are fine
Seats work perfectly well
FWD no issue at all
Charge port opens and charges well
No paint issues
No lights problem
No hardware missing
Delivery guy was amazing and had great patience .
software is 2021.43.202
I am really happy with it.

I Hope any car produced after March 10 will have this quality. Good luck to everybody still waiting.
It is an amazing car... View attachment 786356View attachment 786357View attachment 786362View attachment 786365View attachment 786366don't lose hope!
Just gorgeous! How has it felt on the road?

For those that have a M3 and now X, how do they compare? I test drove a Y yesterday and it really felt like I was sitting “on” the car and not “in” the car. Lot of good things, but this gave me some pause.
weird.
i absolutely love my wife’s MY with couple of a exceptions…

it’s a really great car and because Of the size it feels a lot more agile and just feels great, in my opinion more fun to drive than the X.

there’s only 2 things that prevents me for getting another one for me, the suspensions and the size of the seat which feels small and I’m not a big guy.
if it had air suspension and slightly larger seat I would take it in a heartbeat.

Picked up my 2022 5 seat MSM Cream LR today in Buena Park. What a beautiful car. Was worried for no reason. The paint is great. Fit & Finish seems fine. Will look more now that I'm home and it's cooling off outside. No floor mats, so I'll use the Model S's until I buy some. I'm sure they'll fit good enough sine rain is expected Monday. Wow, I love the car. Yoke takes a little getting use to as do turn signals. What a dream to drive. Photos in phone for now. Wall charger and trailer hitch were there. They helped me set up my phone and gave me an orientation. It's different than the Raven S, being screen driven. 16 month wait was worth it.

Picked up the car yesterday! 🎉 As everyone else mentioned, it's totally worth the wait! It's truly a great car! My impressions from the pickup experience:

1. Lost about $5,000 after being "blackmailed" by the salesperson that she would give away my VIN to someone else if I didn't pick up the car within 2 hours. This is just ridiculous because it took a day for me to process the payment. The problem here is that I had to agree with the high 5+% APR by Tesla Finance when I could wait till the next day to get 2+% APR by U.S. Bank. I didn't want to risk losing my $33,000 discount after losing the VIN, so I accepted the higher APR. The Tesla customer service is not just bad, it's on the edge of a crime.

2. The car was perfect. Don't believe people telling about the low quality of Tesla cars. Yes, some cars have terrible quality. But I'm sure the percentage of defects is very low. Some people reported missing parts, but I found extra parts in my car. Apparently, they changed some scratched elements during the quality inspection at the factory. By the way, the car was built just 3 days ago. That was fast!

3. It took a really hard pull to fold or recline the larger part of the backseat. The smaller part reclines very easily. Do you have the same issue with your 5 seater?

4. The location of the horn button is awful! I pressed it during all first turns. It got better by the end of the day though. The new yoke really requires getting used to it to drive safely. I hope this will not be an issue very soon. But it's hard to imagine giving the car to someone else who hasn't used the yoke before. I think you have to deactivate Auto Pilot before that to avoid accidental presses on the corresponding button.

Looking forward to seeing the pix. What other things are you feeling, coming form the Raven S?

Interestingly, there is only a 2% margin of deliveries in our tracking.

*Edit: But a 5% margin on VINs. The number might be too small to make a significant conclusion but the FSD prioritization may be a newer initiative.

I think this is because Plaid have a higher FSD attach rate. If you exclude Plaid orders then the numbers are even closer, and actually skewed to non-FSD:

Have you considered refinancing your car loan through US Bank to get that better rate?

I've only driven 25 miles to home, but it's too easy to go over the speed limit. No wind noise. I had the radio off, and didn't hear traffic or anything. I took it off insane mode and put it on sport for now. I keep the MS on chill, which is what I will prob. do here. Going for a little drive now...😁😁 Car had 15 miles, built this month. New taillights and charge port. I like the old charge port better, the lighted ring.

Hi again, folks - from beautiful Bainbridge Island, WA...

Ordered a Refreshed XLR six seater on January 29th of 2021. Still waiting for a July delivery. Read these posts pretty much every day (I'm not obsessing-just trying to keep up on things). Reading about all of the QC problems you've all faced and thinking back on the delivery of my 2018 X 100D in June of 2018 - and experienced none of these issues. Of course, when I drove it home on the ferry it went into 'Off' mode and I had no idea how to crank it back up. Called Tesla and the guy told me to stomp on the brake pedal three times (like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and it would be fine. I was. Did have the the lower trim from the driver's window fall off. Totally freaked me out. Looked at it carefully and saw that there's a lip to hang it from. So, put it back and snapped it into place. No problems since then. Love the car. And will be happy to drive it for a while. Just hope that the new one is at least as good. I have experienced phantom braking in EAP, but know what causes it (typically some jerk turning in front of me) and just dis-engage. Works for me.
Couple of questions to new Refresh owners.
o Stro mentioned that he's using 1TB SSD as a 'stick.' My 2018 has the USB ports in the middle tray. Destroyed a stick by storing stuff there. I've heard of some folks who have put USB cables in the glove box to keep the sticks away from stuff. Are the Refresh USB ports still there? How many? Anyone moved storage devices to the glove box?
o How about the trailer hitch receiver. I cart a couple of eBikes around on a rack and wonder if anyone has concerns about weight limits? The eBikes are both in the fifty pound range with the batteries removed. With the hitch I have maybe 150 pounds back there. What's more important - the vertical load or the torque? Any thoughts?
o The radar. Has it definitely gone the way of the Dodo Bird? Hope not. Rely on mine.
o My 2018 came with a complimentary Connectivity package. I only use the LTE link for maps and occasional web searches. How does this work on the Refresh?
o Which plug comes with the Refresh charging cable - NEC 14-50 (looks like dryer plug) or the NEC 6-50 (only has the 240 volt legs).

Every Tesla comes with a basic 5-15 adapter now. You need to buy the others from the shop.

The refresh X has the same spec as the old one for the towing hitch

I have a dilemma that I was hoping someone has an answer to. My Model X LR order placed on 2/09/21 has been so long in the queue that the driver's license I uploaded to the Tesla website last year has expired. So, I went to replace the old license image with a new one so that everything is up to date (hoping that would expedite my delivery.. ha, ha). The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to replace the old image with a new one. I can't find an "edit" or "change" button and when I click on the old image, it does not allow me to remove and add a new image. Does anyone know how to edit it?
Same issue. I ordered 1/29/21 and am still waiting. When my driver’s license got updated I had to email it my SA to load to my account.

The same thing happened to my ‘18 RWD M3 after having it for only a few months. The tow guy said he just towed a brand new one. The service report said something about the 12V battery and the drive unit was replaced. So apparently this is not uncommon. At the time, I questioned whether I’d ever get another Tesla and yet here I am again, asking for more trouble, lol
2 years into my 2018 X same thing, but mobile service came and replace the battery, everything back to normal after.
