Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

If anyone is interested, I drove by to check for MXs parked, and spotted quite a few, like, A LOT. I also have a video of them seemingly testing the take off speed.

I enjoy that this thread can be silent for an hour or two then in 15 minutes get 15 posts from 15 users. I thought I was the only delinquent refreshing this page multiple times every day.

When you need parts in the future, which 2021 MX do you have? That will be confusing

Also future trade in and resale value. 2022 will be higher valued. And the price you pay now or January is the same.

Makes sense. But wouldn’t there only be one type of 2021 MX?

I think there were a few model X pre refresh delivered late in 2020 that have the 2021 model year as well.

I thought Tesla had a cutoff for the year nowadays. In other words, vehicles made after Month Day, were considered next year... and it wasn't January 1st.

Spoke with my Tesla rep today. He said that they won't be using the order date to schedule deliveries. Instead, they're scheduling based on the number of times you've looked at the order screen hoping for an early EDD. We should all be good.

No. November manufacturing. So if yours came off the line on October, it'd be 2021. 16 days left though... hopefully most of us will be good.

Wow, I put in a new order for a plaid earlier today and it was May. It says May as delivery date on my account page. The LR model I ordered in January still does not have a date.

I continue to wonder how much of this is chip shortage, how much is building model S volume instead of the X and how much is Tesla de-emphasizing the X.
