Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

Tesla teased me today. Dropped off my other Tesla for service and it was supposed to be 2 hours and no loaner. Turns out it will be a bigger job and I got a MX 7 seater to drive! While a 2017 100D model, it is a 7 seater like the LR I ordered but, it's not a refresh. Maybe I can keep it until they deliver mine? I wish.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe since I originally had a 6 seater order, I'm higher up on the 6 seater queue than those who Tesla converted?

Mine (1.19.21) originally was a 6 seat. Still March. Only thing I've done is take off FSD since I'm going monthly.

So they've clearly got a handle on the plaid 6 seat orders. Everytime I feel like splurging and ordering a plaid, I look at my order price and immediately calm down when comparing to a new plaid order. Can't beat an 89k base price SUV that still goes faster than a P85D.

I thought the Plaid base price was $126K?

I think it was 120k until the 6 seat mandate, so 126.5k but I was talking about the impressive performance of the LR which has 600+HP and a 0 to 60 of 3.1s with rollout. Also LR price is now 105k but was 89k when I ordered. Insane mode and insane value but also insane wait times.

Where are you getting 3.1 from? Are you confusing it with the S LR?

No, so the Delta was huge and then narrowed for newer buyers.

Heard back from our SA “Mike”. He is now acknowledging that Plaid 5/7 orders are being changed to 6 at no charge but since we paid the $6,500 last fall to be made a priority there is no credit or refund . . . Ugh. We didn’t want to change to 6 seat and even initially told him no but called back after a day because we really wanted the car sooner vs later since we had been doing the 1 car thing since April already.

This is just incredibly bad customer service. Shameful

I don’t know what would happen in an arbitration but as a litigator I can guarantee you 100% you would win back the $6500 plus costs in a general civil suit.

Not a chance that an LR did 0-60 in 3.1 seconds. That said, the X LR and the P85D (not Ludicrous) have about the same 1/4 mile time and exit speed which means that the X LR is faster than a P85D AFTER 60 MPH.

EDD changed to Jan24-Feb14. No Vin... Ordered 02/03/21 white on white LR 6 seats no FSD ( got the call back in Oct)

Wow that was fast! Just got VIN assigned and EDD moved up to Jan22-Jan25. Finally a VINner!!

Fraudulent inducement. And by the way, if the Tesla GC was aware of the facts I am sure he or she would agree. I’m sure Elon and the senior team don’t want to treat their customers like this. With all the noise these businesses generate the reality is these senior executives probably are not even aware of the fact pattern. If they were they would have it addressed.

Got it. I'm a LR 6-seater order from Jan 2021 and was teased a few weeks back with a Feb to TBD. Like most Feb 2022 people I'm sitting at Mar 2022 now.
