I think it's a dummy door for overseas and the actual charge door is on the correct side.

No. The design is mirrored like the 3/Y is so that a charge port isn't obvious.
Because they control the field...
No one is forcing anyone to play the game. But if you want one, the end of the line is "over there.".

Alrighty. As promised, I am willing to meet members here on the 6th of March (Sunday) if anyone is interested in checking out X for things you may be curious about. Maybe even drive around, but can't punch it as I'm trying to get back into beta (lol). For our Austin peeps, I could meet you guys over there the following Saturday (12th of March) for the same concept. As to where, it's TBD. For Houston, I was thinking the Westheimer SC as there is a Benihana next to it and that sound delicious.

It appears so but I certainly hope we're looking at it wrong. I ripped out part of the built-in shelves in my garage to relocate my workbench, all to make a perfect setup to back my X into my garage and have the charger right by the charge port on the left-hand side...

If there is enough interest I am down to do this in NJ… maybe a few of us who have the car (whenever I eventually get it) can meet up with other members and poke around or talk shop. Perhaps when the weather gets a little nicer.

THIS makes me think this is bound either to Britain, Australia, Japan or some other "drive on the left" country.
They addressed that in the replies. It’s the same design on both sides, they just happened to get a picture of the drivers side from where they were positioned

No, the charge port is always on the left. Whether that is passenger side or drivers side, varies by country. If it was moved to the right, think about how screwed up Supercharger access would be!
Went to local Tesla and saw Red/Cream Plaid 20s ready for pick up. This is the first time I've seen the car in person! And holy, the car is gorgeous. It's surely going to be worth the wait and then some

On another note, Tesla just called me to tell me the 24k they owe me will be 'mailed' to me in 4 weeks. Why can't we do the same when we buy a car. Drive it for 4 weeks and then pay them. Messed up. And it's not even a wire transfer. It's mailed. It may get lost.

No they are not legal until the DoT says they are. I believe they have 18 months to do so from last years legislation and have yet to do so.They’re legal now.
NHTSA sets adaptive headlights early, so we may get them soon
