No updates on the tilt screen. We bought motors ourselves and installed them but they won't activate without Tesla changing the vehicle configuration.

We just received the 2022 holiday update last night and it added Bluetooth controller support.

Did your update have Steam? Given it would have been pre Feb 2022 and this RAm switch

Yes. It has Steam. We'll try a few games with Bluetooth controllers tonight.

I don’t know where this Feb 2022 came from but it’s pretty clearly not true.

I suspect those in the beta will get it last, if historical precedence is anything to go by. Spend $15k, get little, and delayed updates.

Has Tesla upgraded the earlier refreshed S or X cars so that the MCU tilts as the new ones do?
Also any news on when Tesla will make wireless game controllers available for our cars?

Looks like the new uSW pdate will allow PS5 Bluetooth connectivity for games. Ask and you shall receive!

I doubt it… Early 2021s don’t have 16GB. He certainly meant that.

FWIW Tesla upgraded my car from 8GB to 16GB about a year ago. As I recall it was an SD card. I am unable to see my service history from last year though to confirm that it was just an SD card change.

Agreed. Just posting my upgrade from 8 to 16GB that Tesla did without me asking. I was actually surprised there was an SD card in the first place.

Really simple, though. I mean, SD cards are filthy cheap and take seconds to install. It’s quite a bit different when you’re talking about a main board with RAM soldered to it.

Of course RAM and SD cards are very different. I was told the SD card was for storage. At the time I was complaining that my music streaming was was taking a long time to load next song when I skipped. They indicated It should help with my music queue. It did seem to help.
My point in bringing this up is that I’m wondering if the 16GB requirement might just be for Steam game storage.

I think there's still confusion here. 16GB requirement is for RAM, not storage. I believe the early refresh cars have 8GB RAM, 64GB storage. The later models that year and on have 16GB RAM, and 128GB storage.

I thought it was 8GB RAM/128GB Storage upgraded to 16GB RAM/256GB Storage for the 2022 model year.

I've heard both sets of numbers touted. Someone on Reddit who posted videos of Steam said that when he fired up Steam he only had 80GB available in the car. It's unlikely it was 256GB to start with, in this case, even factoring in the car's OS. Clearly not enough new S cars out there with this update to check what's really going on.

Seeing that new SSD drive pop up on the tesla store available Feb 2023 makes me believe that there will be an update coming out by then to allow expandable storage for steam etc.

I'd read that you can already do that with the new update, but can't confirm since I don't have the update.
