Ouch ! A local dealer in the Netherlands told me January, saying that Renault is having issues with the R-Link system. If it is spring in the end, that means there are more issues than just the R-Link.

Well for us EV enthousiast, it is quite ridiculous. But remember that this vehicle is for mass market, so you need to appeal to people that are not especially enthousiast about EVs, and that might miss the engine sound. So in the end, if it sells more EVs, and I can disable it, I'm totally fine with that.
This is something I've wondered about since the safety requirement for sound came up. Will there be an aftermarket for car sounds in the same way there's one for ringtones? Imagine the possibilities. I'm sure, given the opportunity, that people would use lots of interesting and tasteful sounds.
