Connected the instrument cluster and got a reading of 208 Mile range for the battery pack!!!

FANTASTIC news......



only thing is the pack is not connected and its reading a cached value.

here is what is working

rear hatch
door handles auto present
windows auto roll down when door opens

so here is the interesting thing.

the rear hatch opens when I double press from the key, but not from the MCU, keep in mind I moved over the body control module from the crashed car so its good to know that the body control module DOES match the key that was sold to me from the original owner

this is a symptom that "something" is malfunctioning or about to die. usually the 12 V battery. if u google "Tesla window rolls down automatically" you will see what I'm talking about.

I think he means the windows auto-roll down to clear the window seals. That's normal operation.

btr. I am fairly sure that is normal. When you pull on the handle (prob hits a micro switch) it lowers the window slightly. The door opens. when you close the door, the handle goes in slightly (prob hitting a dif micro switch) but not fully retracted, and the window goes up slightly.

Had it once with one of my doors, reboot of center screen fixed it. Most probably a reboot won't get rid of most problems in your case I guess.

First time I saw the video it appeared as if the car closed the door shut on you, like it wouldn't want to let you in or something.

Maybe they have a blue pill for that.

probably have to "teach" it the auto full up so that it knows where UP is. Usually just holding the up switch until it is fully up will teach it UP and then the auto up will work, and it might stop this lowering on every close if it is not UP. Just a wild guess.

Likely the reason for this is because none of your other window controls are working but it knows it needs to pull the window down to clear the seal and not doing so would prevent it from opening or possibly break the window if you tried. So you have half functionality and I bet full functionality will show up when you get the rest working.

When I was having my windows tinted I noticed that if you had the latches in the locked position but the doors open in the front, the rear window would go down every time you opened the door but not go back up.
