Reset TPMS on Model 3

Accidentally selected the wrong wheel size when the TPMS reset dialog appeared (selected 19", for 18" wheels installed).

Is there a way to reset the TPMS (like the Model S/X) without replacing the wheels (18" to 19"), driving 10 minutes over 15 MPH, and then replacing the wheels again (19" back to 18")?

Floor it in reverse and hard brake at exactly 27mph.


I kid, I'm pretty sure you will have to replace them again like you mentioned. Can't remember who but someone else has mentioned that a while back in another thread. Someone else can chime in if I'm giving misinformation.

I know this wasn’t the question so apologies, but does it actually matter what the size is set to if the diameter of the wheels is the same?

My guess would be to set the desired PSI appropriately as opposed to just checking current pressures and setting those as the desired pressures.
