Retry cell connection on demand

Mine is MX 2020 LRP with premium connectivity subscription. I usually park it in parking lot underground at work without signal so it's disconnected obviously.

However, when I drive it out to the ground floor, it takes a long time for it to reconnect (which causes missing data for me on Teslamate).

I looked around the UI but couldn't find anywhere for me to manually force retrying connection on demand.

Anyone has any tips & tricks regarding this? TIA

The only way I know is to reboot the interface, but that also takes a couple minutes. You're probably better off just waiting.

what about switching to wifi (with hotspot) n back to LTE?
not sure just guessing...

I noticed the other day that the service menu (on my 2017 X) shows GPS related info. I don't know how long a cold start takes but you can see the number of satellites for an example. From past experience devices liked getting 4 before they really could triangulate their location (ala 3 didn't seem to be as good as 4).

Enable Service Mode: Settings->Software->Long press on car model; When prompted for password, type "service"

Thanks, I rest my case with workaround by using cell phone WIFI sharing. I don't think there's any absolute solution to this. Thanks for all inputs.
