Mercedes released this video of real world driving of their futuristic concept car, the Vision AVTR that features wheels that can move the car sideways and no steering wheel:
I know it is a just a prototype but it is still super cool.
Not sure what the little fins on the back are for other than to be different.
I do wonder if the "mushroom stick" will really work though. For example, when making a 90 degree turn at an intersection or when taking a sharp curve at 60 mph, I am not sure it is obvious how much torque to apply. I feel like a steering wheel is easier to use.
I do think if the car were fully self-driving, it would be a super cool car to have.
