Scrape/tear on tyre sidewall.

Yesterday I noticed some damage to my nearside rear tyre. I can't tell you when this might have happened and I've no idea how it happened. I've logged a service request with Tesla to take advice on whether it requires a new tyre - my instinct tells me I do, but I don't really know. The depth of the tear is about 3mm at its worst. There has been no loss of pressure since I discovered this.

Having just looked online, a new tyre is about £270 but if it needs to be replaced with only 8k miles on it, so be it - I don't gamble with tyres!! Judging by the images, What do you lot think?

Missed this thread but the answer you should have received from this forum is: don't go to Tesla for tyres next time. They are overcharging by at least 50%. You could have found a replacement tyre through your local garage or mobile tyre service at a better price
