Scratches around door handle from normal use

My three year old M3 has got minor scratches around the door handles, and elsewhere, which seems unusual as I've never noticed this happen on previous cars. I know Tesla doesn't have best reputation for paint quality. Is this a common thing and/or covered by warranty does anyone know?

We noticed the same thing on our Oct 2020 build Model Y (red). Car wax around the handles really helped.

This happens on all cars over time. Just need to buff it out

On other cars where the handle protrudes you'll find those scratches under the handle. Here with a flush handle they end up around / over the handle. It's not exclusive to Tesla, they are just not quite at the same place.

Most likely not covered under warranty as this appears to be normal wear and tear, but depending on how busy they are, the SC may be willing help you buff it out as a goodwill service. Looks like very minor scratches. Or if you want to do DIY, wax can probably hide it really well, or a repair product like ScratchX.

As others mentioned, the same thing likely is on your other cars, just that it is in the handles, while for the Model 3, the way you use the handles put the scratches on the bodywork.

if stuff like this bothers someone (and why shouldn't it)... go get a dual action orbiter and buff that out in 60 seconds... plus you can buff out all the other minor things that only bother you on the car... seriously, it's worth it

Be a gentleman and open the door for your lady, this will reduce the fingernail-induced scratching. Unless you don't trim your own.
