Selling 2022 Model S LR reservation, 5K less than offical price, Mar. 2022 Delivery

Hi,

I ordered the MSLR in September, before the recent 5K price increase.
I changed my mind and bought a Plaid from the existing inventory instead.

The current new LR order is July 2022 and 5K is more expensive.
So my reservation can get you the car sooner and less than the current price.

I actually don't know if transferring reservations like this is doable.
I cannot give away my Tesla account since I have other vehicles in it.
It will be much nicer to sell it as it will be an obvious win-win for both me and the buyer, but if it's not doable I will just cancel it.

You can still do it. Just move your existing car to a new tesla email account. you can do it over the phone.

Called customer service and was told that I can only change onwership after delivery.

I won’t do that because of the extra tax I had to pay before reselling.. so I will likely just cancel the order..

Prices have been dropping on existing Model S inventory here in Seattle over last 2w. I didn't take delivery, let the car back on the list and was able to get it again for $2k less.

I was able to get this done, with the help of my sales advisor. Without his help, it would have been a wall of no’s.
This was when Plaids first came out, I had 2 reservations and took the one that came first. Didn’t want to make a buck off of anyone so I transferred the 2nd reservation to a friend. Tesla tried to say the only way to do it was to share access to my acct, not true.

Maybe Tesla only allows you to do this when they know you aren’t charging the recipient for it Lol. Could have been their way of stopping all the disgusting reservation flipping that was going on, was a huge problem during the pandemic obviously.
