I would like the stock to close next week at 170 so that I don't feel so bad about closing my +170/-195 BPS for $22 (after fighting it for two years and not getting good rolls on it a couple days ago).

(and so my 170CCs for Friday don't get wrecked too badly).

Then it can go to the moon.

Agree - it’s still 4 months away, after a bad ER or two. And people have to know by now that these events rarely trigger a rally.

But still I think it puts some floor under under the stock for the next three weeks until the ER, at least.

I actually don't understand what you are showing. There are short sellers at all levels - just like there are people who buy Tesla on margin at all levels.

No doubt there were hedge fund who shorted as soon as the news hit the wires. They have automated systems that can do that a millionth of a second after the news hits the wires. They even co-locate their servers at brokerage firms like Fidelity. This is a game where every millisecond counts.

Do you have any proof that Reuters leaked the news selectively to some people on Wall St before they released to public ?

FSD is not a hardware issue. What is a new "Robotaxi" going to achieve?

My disengagement rate has gone down (because roundabouts work) - still getting one or two disengagements daily. So, from 1 on 20 miles to 1 in 10,000 miles minimum needed for a true robotaxi is a looong away.

No doubt there will be enough investors with marginal understanding who will pump the stock on Monday ...

FSD and Robotaxi more so are too full of hot air at the moment. Better? yes. Great? Uhm maybe. Robotaxi? Dream on…..

This week SP actions just reinforces the ideas no matter how collectively we thinks the stock going go it still going find ways to yank us around. Just got to be nimble and take profit as soon as we can. Greed this week burned the dog on NVDA and TSLA. Didnt take profit and over stay the positions. Greed kills.

Going go back to Meditation and dry dog foods for now.

Are you saying you are 1-2 fixes away from being disengagement free for million of miles? That's the thing about disengagements...you could be 2 fixes away from never to disengage on your normal routes ever again.

There are still lots of features to add like

-able to read signs beyond stop and white speed signs
-understand hand gestures
-increase performance with road works
-work reliability with bar gates or any gates
-map new areas better and faster

Besides all that, we are pretty close. I would say car to car negotiation and interaction is near complete. Localization reliability is pretty damn high. This is just the beginning of V12 so lets see what "3 features" Tesla will add every 2 weeks. Auto Park is pretty much done. Parking lot navigation with crowds of people is also pretty close. I can see how ASS is near.

@Patrick66, hopefully you are feeling more comfortable today than you were yesterday.

Yeah, sold another two sets of NVDA 880 puts for May in midday trading. My acquisition plan is long-term, so I have some skepticism when things change suddenly as it limits my flexibility. It is easy to fix a mistake, but sometimes hard to be confident that something is actually a mistake. (Fortunately I don't have long-term capital gains at stake with NVDA further clouding my judgement... unlike Tesla.)

Same here( 1 put) , but at 5:30 price 170+ and MM scavenging for shares, so unlikley I think. (just open position today , and earlier it had like 800$ loss )
If assigned, mon it might shoot up to 180+ - so win-win

None of my 5x -p170 assigned either. Too bad, but I guess there are worse things than getting bailed out of ITM puts after the market has already closed on Friday.

Elon seems to be working extra hard lately hyping up the stocks. There’s too much at stake and Elon has been on defensive lately.

For Investers and Believers this is the Elon we need. Question can he executes on those promises of FSD and Robotaxi now…….as it’s been years?

If he can, I think most of us rather invest on the upsides then be a downers for these past months.

BTW, what happens to Future/Uber guys? His post dissapeared?

As annoying as Elon’s robotaxi promises have been over the years, it’s equally annoying to not acknowledge the fact that V12, a completely new architecture that’s been in development less than a year, has far exceeded 4-5 years of previous development.

Also to note, it’s not just Elon hyping this time. Multiple members of the FSD team has been posting on Twitter
