Sentry mode recording while sitting in car?

Is it normal to have century mode recording while sitting in car ? I am outside a supermarket in the car waiting for my wife and noticed century mode is red, recording? Is this normal?

Yes, that is normal SENTRY mode behavior.

That isn't Sentry Mode, it's Dash Cam. Dash Cam records anytime the vehicle is on. Sentry Mode saves Dash Cam clips to a separate folder when an event is detected while the vehicle is unoccupied and locked.

Yes - that's what Dash Cam does. It records constantly when the car is on (you're inside).
