I had the chance to drive a Model 3 basic today. It was delivered earlier this month as a new vehicle. For reference I own a 2014 Model S. I was able to get cruise control to engage but not auto steer with 2 pull downs of the drive stalk.
All the other features like streaming audio, traffic etc were also disabled, but I thought auto steer was part of the basic autopilot package. Sentry Mode, Dog mode, all the other recent updates worked, so did the auto lane keep when I intentionally drifted. No matter how many times I tried, I could not get auto steer to engage on the freeway.
Is Auto Steer disabled for this model?
