Looks pretty sweet. Awesome job plasti dipping the window trims.

Meant to say winter setup before hitting submit.. Same configuration as the stock 19s squared.

I have the stock dark gray 21 inch staggered turbines if anyone wants them reasonably for $1000 obo. Will put them back on in a month hopefully. MN winter's you never know.

I'll vinyl the rest of the chrome after winter too. Lower it, new aftermarket wheels, front lip done️

I didn't see it posted or asked, what wheels are these? Size and specs?
Did you lower with brackets or links and how much?

Hey All,

I currently have the TSportline 20” TSS Matte Black 20x9 +35 front, 20x10 +40 rear. They came with 245/40/20 and 275/40/20. The back wheel sidewall is a bit large at .5 inches larger than the front and the total circumference is +3inches, diameter +1 inch. I’m not sure I feel about it

Also using a tire calculator seems like 275/35/20 would have been more appropriate since the diameter and circumference are a much better match. I’m not sure why they are matched it like this. Anyway, I’m sure 275/35/20 would fit but pushing the envelope would 285/35/20 fit as well? I’m may swap the rears out unless there is a compelling reason to keep them. @Tsportline any comments on the sizing?

the 275/40/20 is .5 inches taller than the 245/40/20

It is actually a full inch taller. The sidewall size is a .5 inch difference on both sides of the wheel.

Back to my original question, when staggered with 20x9 and 20x10 what are most people running? I have 245/40/20 and 275/40/20. But is seems like I should be running 275/35/20 for a better match or even a 285/35/20(will this even fit with a 40 offset)

@derichio02 when I had my P100D, I ran the same fitment as you as the 21" just wasn't working for me. No issues as I drove about 100 miles a day.

As 285 is simply going to lay more rubber on the ground reducing range increasing contact patch and rolling resistance. If you don't take long road trips, 275 or 285 is irrelevant in the big picture. If the rear wheel was a 20x9.5, I'd personally install 275/35-20. Ultimately, I think you're fine.

Per @Tsportline , this was their reasoning:

Model S Performance, specs below:
21x85 245/35-21 , outer diameter = 27.8"
21x90 265/35-21 , outer diameter = 28.3"

Our 20" Staggered Wheel & tire Package:
20x90 245/40-20, outer diameter = 27.7" , almost no difference from stock tire size.
20x10 275/40-20, outer diameter = 28.7" +1.4% larger from stock Performance diameter. This increase is within tire industry accepted standards of +/-3%. We counter the increase in outer diameter by supplying a wider wheel (which will slightly round the edge of the tire rendering a less contact patch and better range). We've ran this fitment for over 6 years with no long term issues.

Thanks for this info. I was looking more at the of the front diameter in relation to the rear and it’s effects on the speedo. But seeing as the oem configuration has nearly the same ratio I could simply update my wheel/tire configuration to the Arachnids and let the computer compensate. I’m gonna burn some of the tire but in the long run I don’t really like how big the sidewall is on the 275/40 and may switch to 275/35 with the 20x10 on the back. This would bring the diameter to be more to the size of the front wheel which seems acceptable as well unless I’m missing something?
