Software Update 2018.40.x (Version 9)

A Model 3 in California just popped up on TeslaFi with version 2018.40.1 installed. Anyone else get this version yet? Any release notes available?

Got 2018.40 today. 2013 Model S P85

Is it just me or are we getting a lot of posts from S/X owners in here lately thinking they're posting in those forums?

My Model 3 got 39.7.1 yesterday and 40.1 today. Since the updates came in rapid fire succession, I don’t know what changes are 40.1 specific. 39.7.1 was received over wifi and 40.1 over LTE. I’m in Canada.

I got 40.1 last Friday evening. But since I never got 39.x, I jumped straight from 36.x, and so I'm not sure what all is different. My apologies for one of the less useful posts here. But hey, at least I have a Model 3.

According to TeslaFi it looks like a bunch of Model 3's that were still on 2018.36.2 were recently updated to version 9.

My TM3 went from 39.7 --> 39.7.1 --> 2018.40.1 yesterday night

My model 3 quickly went from 2018.39.7.1 to 2018.40.1 like others have stated, it looks like a lot of P3D's are getting 40.1. Could it have something to do with the 0-60 time changing from 3.5 to 3.3? It may be a small uncork to ensure all have that time when Tesla claims they do...

Anyone with a non-P model 3 with 40.1 yet?? I also have the PUP but that may not make a difference...

No.

That's not a real change- it's a change in how they measured 0-60.

They're now including rollout (on the P model only) which takes 0.2 seconds off the time without the car actually doing it any quicker.

Actually... technically, they are *not* including rollout, which would add time.

I got it yesterday (8/25/18). Don't see anything new in release notes.

LR RWD model 3 just got 40.1 from 39.7 last night, no new release notes, no noticeable changes.

Picked up my 2014 P85D from service today and had update ready to install, prev had 39.6 updated to 2018.40. Will use AP on the drive home today hopefully AP gets better with update as it was ping ponging ever scene 39.6 update.

It’s late November, and checking up on my Model 3, I see 2018.42.4. Anyone know if this is the latest firmware update? BTW, looks like Navigate on Auto Pilot beta is available from my screen

The latest version is 2018.44.2.

You have to wait until Tesla sends it to your car. Then you can start the install from either the app or the car.

Hopefully gets pushed out my way soon... I've always made a habit of updating the latest software version, from phones to computers and everything else digital
