Software Update 9 Version Number

I've not been able to find any images that show the Version for Update 9.

My Model 3 just updated to Version 2018.34.1 3dd3072.

Can anyone confirm the Version number of Update 9?

No one (outside of Tesla employees) has V9 yet.

Yeah that's still 8.1.
No on really knows when V9 will come out. Supposedley this month, but who knows.
It will be totally different visually, so will be easy to spot.

The number includes the week of the release (eg. 2018.34 indicates the 34th week of 2018).
So the number won't be decided until they actually release.

I would doubt a Tesla employee would admit to being one on here. They would become quite the target for questions on everything lol

It's which version of autopilot hardware the car has.
Either 0 (pre-autopilot), 1 (original), 2 (tesla's first attempt after MobileEye break up), 2.5 (tesla's second attempt, current version).

The version number hasn't been decided yet, because the number depends on the week of the software release, and the software is still being written with no definite completion date.

Don't worry. You won't miss V9. It is not like you will get it and not know you got it. V9 will be a big update that will bring noticeable changes to the UI as well as introduce a new "drive to nav" feature. The update notes on your screen will tell you about all the new changes. So if you get update notes that are blank, it's just bug fixes and definitely not V9.
