Sonic Game Keeps Restarting

For some reason, when my son plays Sonic, it restarts at a new level every 2 minutes. Anybody have the same issue?

Not had that issue but seems no way to save or even pause progress?

E.g. if you play for 5 minutes, drive for 10 minutes then want to play again you have to play from the start?

I guess that could be intended but a way to at least suspend progress would be really nice...

I stopped playing it because there's no way to save your progress. Every time you load the program, you're sent back to the first level. Also, the performance is pretty bad, lots of screen tearing etc.

So, they messed up the entire UI to deliver Sonic The Hedgehog and even that is not working well?!
