Hard capture complete! Almost there to the crew on ISS.

Early here on west coast so had alarm set for 7am PT knowing things can happen earlier, which they did, so got to see Dragon move in the last two meters to the docking arm and see soft capture. Now the pins are in and fully locked to the station. Exciting to witness.

Eric Berger’s story about the launch “The trampoline is working”—SpaceX returns human spaceflight to America

QUOTE:

NASA, of course, has been sidelined in the human spaceflight game since 2011, when the space shuttle retired. Since then, NASA has relied on Russian Soyuz spacecraft for access to the station. When tensions escalated between the United States and Russia in 2014, a senior Russian official who now heads the country's space program, Dmitry Rogozin, taunted NASA by suggesting the space agency use a trampoline to launch its astronauts.

At a post-flight news conference on Saturday, Musk quipped, “The trampoline is working."

Seat trays up and return your seats to the upright position.

The gloves are coming off. And the suits awaiting entry to ISS. Reported seeing the white zipper on the gloves.

SpaceX just handed off to NASA for remaining coverage of vacuum and dock opening to the crew. Wow just a great trip.

Hope the screen grabs carry those who didn’t get to tune in a better sense of what they missed.

Preparing from the other side. Confirmed they ate getting good air from ISS.

Pressure equalization is complete and just finishing leak check. Shouldn’t be much longer.

Bob going over with Ground the used water bottle and meals inventory. Lunch was already had.

If you haven’t been listening in to the NASA site, you missed that Chris is concerned that the batteries to the cameras could go dead (set up and testing has been going on for a while) just at the moment they are recording the ceremony of the historic entry of the Dragon crew. He’ll have some backup batteries but Ground doesn’t think it will be an issue.
