Squeaking mirrors

Searched this but I didn't find anything definative...

Both driver and passenger side mirrors are squeaking (like, cringe-worthy...) when folding/unfolding.

If this were a door in my house I'd apply some Wd-40 but I don't want to make a mistake!

Any known solutions or ideas?

This is happening with our S 100D. Since we're approaching 12,500 miles, will get it checked during our first service visit.

Before doing anything, would strongly recommend contacting Tesla about it - and if they have a recommendation on a DIY solution, use that, otherwise, you may not want to risk doing something that would aggravate the problem.

If you take it to the SC they will add some felt To Squeak Or Not To Squeak — Fixing Model S Squeaks & Creaks
