Interesting. The thing I didn't know is that partial premium doesn't have ambient lighting.

What specifically IS ambient lighting in the Model 3? As in which lights are they stripping out?

Go to a Tesla store and speak with a salesperson. Whatever MRs they have in inventory won't vanish in a puff of smoke. You might not get the exact color options you want, but chances are many are still available. (That said, I have no inside knowledge of how many MR models actually are available in inventory right now; there could be very few, or many hundreds.)

I can confirm that there are still puddle lights under the front doors in the partial premium interior. The interior ambient are sadly gone

I have got the sheet from sales which shows the differences between interior options (Basic/Partial Premium/Premium).

Thanks for that. I must have missed on the site or order page where it states the maps and internet features were only for a year.

Ambient lights are different than the dome lights, and the puddle lights. Seems to be the foot well, and door pocket lights that are gone, if I understand correctly.

i wonder if they'll discount. What did they do with the MS discontinued inventory?

According to my sales guy yesterday around 5pm MST, there were only 5 MR in black/black/aero/AP at the time, but 30 minutes later there were only 2 and I got one of those 2. I almost expected to wake up today and see I didn't have a car, but it worked out and I'll pick it up next week. I highly doubt there many if any LEMR cars left.

I found a YouTube video comparing the sound system in the SR+ to the Premium Interior. The guy actually tears apart his wife’s SR+ to confirm where the speakers are located. It was a little hard to watch him tear the car apart but it’s very informative.

I wish I had the option for the midrange. I’d have the streaming music, upgraded maps and lights inside the car so I can see when I drop something.

I’m with you. I find the MR to be the sweet spot in terms of range between SR+ and LR, and full premium interior. I wish they brought it back.

Totally agree. They keep changing the options. It was literally 10k more for the long range with streaming music and lights. I hate that the lights are installed, flash quickly then off. I literally have a flashlight in my 50k car to find things people drop. Ha

I got a MR right as they were vanishing and I'm glad I did; it was significantly less than the cheapest premium interior option available now (AWD LR).
