I bought an inventory SR 2019 model last week which had 1k mikes. I charged it to 100% last night and it’s at 277 miles. It’s rated for 285 miles. Is this battery drain so quickly or normal marketing overhype with EPA estimated miles?
Completely normal. Mine tops out at 276 and also had 1,002 miles when we bought it. It is a common occurrence, even with cars delivered with only a few miles on the odometer. Folks with Long Range report seeing 362 miles at 100% instead of the advertised 373. Everyone "loses" a few rated miles right off the bat. The good news is our 4.5-month old Standard Range has held onto the range at 90% or 100% and no additional drops so far. Enjoy your new ride!
Ive been here for 3 years and havent read much on new cars. Unfortunately, the search feature on these forums is terrible, especially from a mobile device.
@mbhforum, you didn't notice this behavior on your previous S? If not, Tesla probably masked it and had had the BMS report things a little differently.
