I like the silver ones. So the wheels for Elise fit Telsa?
Does anyone have pictures showing the Tesla regenerative braking system versus the standard type of brakes on the Elise?

I believe the "regenerative braking" on the Telsa is just running the motor backwards. I think their wheel brakes are ordinary ones (perhaps the same as the Elise?)

At this point federal laws require all cars to have standard braking systems and mechanical hand brakes. Even if regen braking is included in the powertrain.

For what it is worth, I like the looks of those wheels a lot more than the stock ones.

The Tesla regen braking feature doesn't have any factor on the bolt pattern, offset or other specs that determine what wheels would fit. (Tesla Regen braking is all a function of the eMotor controller, and doesn't have any componentry within the wheel or brake calipers).

I do recall someone saying that the extra weight of the Roadster (compared to the Elise) due to the heavy battery pack drove them to install a "big brake kit" which would normally be a non-stock upgrade to the Elise. If you look at the pix on this thread those wheels all have 4 bolts. The Roadster "big brakes" use a 5 bolt pattern.

Shinoo, Yes I am still interested since 2 years now. We talk at the phone a few times. Did you hear anything from Tesla? Please reply if the Yen is not low enough.

Dear Roadster Owners,

Driving 1/2 year with my new wheels. Now I installed yellow wheels bands as well.
In regards to performance and traction I am very satisfied. After not offering this set of wheels I got my own ones. Please look at the picture. Really looks great.
