Still expecting June Delivery?

Ordered LR AWD Blue/Black in Jan, 2020.
received a call in April during the pandemic to let me know I had not been forgotten.
Got a text message saying the car was going into production shortly.
Thank you to whoever mentioned checking the mvpa link on your reservation page.
That was the key to this process. VIN 95xx.
Chose to drive to NJ (closest SC - 4 hours) instead of having the car dropped off (and then finding the issues and the resulting hassles).
Picking up on Saturday. Maybe. Depending on the issues I find. Have a checklist prepared.

I asked the SA via text and he said these dates are the most accurate estimates coming straight from the factory.
I received the same text yesterday stating June delivery and no VIN.

I hope Tesla isn’t playing with our hearts :(

On a typical day, I check if the VIN arrived in source code one or two times. Today, I lost count but my guess is well over 20. Let's see what tomorrow will bring. Good luck to you too...

So it is the evening of June 25th with no VIN. Tesla text from yesterday says June delivery. What do you guys think the odds of June delivery happening in the next four days with no VIN yet?

White/White/LR/No FSD/Tow/Bay Area
Hopefully, they made two of the white/white/LR models - one for each of us.

Every hour that goes by, I lose a little more hope, It's certainly possible, but it'll be very tight. How many are they making every day? They've all gotta be for Bay Area folks at this point.

I'm beginning to think the text msg does not mean we are scheduled for a VIN yet since no delivery dates were mentioned. It's pretty much "get your stuff done" so you can be the next man up when someone fails to take delivery for whatever reason. I'm not sure if it's the same tactic they used when they launched Model 3, but it certainly makes sense to maximize deliveries before quarter end.

Please let me know how it goes. I picked up mines same spec on May 23rd. Its still at the body shop for 2 more weeks. I had many minor paint issues on mines.

Easy pickup yesterday at Carlsbad. Had a couple minor things they took care of but also 2 places where I am having them repaint and both drivers side front and rear windows need to be replaced for some small scratches. I wouldn't have seen the paint imperfections but my girlfriend who has the eye for extreme detail pointed them out. I didn't see any panel gaps that needed to be fixed.

Paint issues (I would of probably missed it)
Passenger front fender- black dot under clear coat and some other roughness (probably dust under paint.)
Rear hatch- slight imperfection under spoiler

Get it in writting they will fix from delivery team. They did for me via email. Miramar SC can send to Amato's Auto Body, which mines being worked on as we speak. If I waited on delivery last month would probably resulted in same quality.

I live near Sacramento. I ordered last Sunday w/w, 20” and got the text on Wednesday to prepare for June delivery. No VIN. I’d be surprised to get the car in the next month.

Seriously, who knows at this point. Knowing Tesla, they'll ship the exact same car I've ordered to Sacto when they could just have me pick it up at the end of the ass'y line.

Very tired and annoyed of this process!! Was on the list to be delivered in late March... then C-19 and they closed the factory. I understand but was within 3-5days of manufactureI I have all my stuff upto date and am paying CASH! On 6/2 I got a text saying expect delivery in 2-4 weeks. Nothing since except a call from a delivery specialist to make sure everything was up to date in my account... It has been for 2 months, including that I will be paying CASH! since then (~3 weeks) nothing! I am getting really tired of the run-around! considering delaying until August so I can relax and perhaps get a MY that has been properly QA'd!!
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Well I got my VIN and delivery appointment yesterday! I pick it up on Monday afternoon. I am hoping that the delivery center has taken the time to fix all the blaring fit and finish issues. I have heard some stories about the cars being delivered now are in pretty good shape. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect them to get the obvious stuff. I really am getting excited! Its been a long wait and I WANT MY TESLA!!!!!!

Hi, all. My first post here. I was curious about VIN distribution time as I JUST ordered mine late on the 25th.
I'm near Hattiesburg in Mississippi, and we have no store nor service stations in the state. It's about 2 hours to the closest in New Orleans, but still...
I ordered Blue, White, Performance, Tow.
Based on the progress I've seen in here (with the ramp-up of the factories), I'm thinking I should get a VIN assigned within 4-6 weeks. I'm documenting the entire experience on YouTube, but I'm not here to share that link (unless someone specifically requests it). I just want to see what timeframe others are experiencing so I can get an idea.

No matter what, this is my first Tesla, and I'm excited!

Just to clarify:
  • February 2nd - placed the order (White, LR, no FSD)
  • May 10th - got the call from Tesla to confirm the delivery address. Guessing this was only to make sure that I am still interested.
  • May 28th - changed the order (upgraded wheels and added the hitch)
  • June 10th - got the DELAY/JUNE text. I called them immediately to clarify. They said I am back on their June list.
  • June 12th - got the text about the car heading to Rockville and link to schedule delivery. Scheduled delivery for June 19th.
  • Applied for the loan - couple time back and forth via email until they gave 2.24%
  • Yesterday, agreed on terms and immediately VIN (14xxx) appeared under my account.
  • Last 2 weeks - watched the videos and put together the list of things to check on delivery!!!!!
can you share who you actually speak/email with ? My order date was 10-2019...just the basic email/texts
