Instead of the usual "Your order is confirmed" at the my.tesla page, this is a hopeful sign of progress that a stock 90D is entering the queue for ?sourcing? parts. I'm no VIP, but I am highly encouraged that my RN 16XXX is somewhere in the moving pipeline rather than in a stack of virtual papers. You all think this is meaningful for the queue or just a web page redesign?

STOCK 90 D Production seems to be on cusp of production. NEW PAGE FROM MYTESL...

It's happened for everyone, including people with P90D's that are on a truck. They just replaced the text for 'your order has been confirmed' to something wordier with a link to the delivery process docs. 70D customers have it too

I also noticed this change today as well. I ordered a 90D with my original reservation number of 12xxx and confirmation on 1/4. Unlike others though the page doesn't include a VIN so I am not sure what to make of it. Hopefully it is a sign of real progress.

I sent a note to my DS to ask about the change and she gave me a generic response indicating that it doesn't mean much yet and reaffirmed the 'mid-2016' date

"Right now your Model X configuration is being reviewed by our manufacturing teams for production optimization. Once they’ve structured our Model X production plan for your vehicle I will reach out to update you with your estimated production window. This window is when we are planning to initiate production of your vehicle, it does not mean your vehicle will complete production during this timeframe. Due to the fluid nature of production and our thoughtful implementation this can change over the coming months. We’ll be in communication throughout this period to review these any changes."

I think they are updating the system and the information is not correct. My car is being delivered this week and it says the same as yours. Until you get a call from your DS with a firm delivery date don't believe anything you read on the "My Tesla" page.

Wow ! Another MyTesla innovation removed. It really look like the team behind the "MyTesla" section is trying to help us reach the information we need, but then lose, and fallback.

My guess, I am a software product manager in a very big software company (won't name it) .... Internal politic is slowing down a fast and dynamic software team. They want to bring good stuff ,but internal politic make them look like they want to move too fast, they are cowboy, business don't need this , ...

My two cents

I don't think there's any politics or bad intent behind it. I suppose they redesigned the page, used pretty ambiguous language that caused a spike in calls to DS by people who thought their 90D was on the cusp of production, which prompted them to change the language again to clarify the situation.
