I have been in a model S where they had an Amazon Dot Bluetooth paired (not sure exactly how they did that) and plugged into the usb port for power. You may still have to use your own phone as a hot spot. I think the model 3 lets you share it’s WiFi.
I don’t believe I said “any Tesla” actually. But in scrolling through the screen options for connectivity on my Model 3, I saw an entry that said WiFi sharing. I have not tried it though. Maybe it means something different?
No Tesla currently offers the option to share it's LTE connection as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The hardware is technically capable of that, but Tesla has not pushed any software to enable such a feature.
