Suddenly; "unable to locate vehicle" message- anyone?
--------------------------------------------------------
The message "unable to locate vehicle" showed up very recently out of nowhere after Tesla's s/w update- now installed 2023.38.4. Tesla M Y.
My cellphone is connected, the LTE comm is working, all navigation is OK, the car knows where it is at (the red arrow on the car display is in the correct position). I even restarted both the Tesla and my phone. Still- doesn't work.

Any one experience this? and advice?

Thank you for all those who responded to my question regarding "unable to locate vehicle".
I have found a solution, see below.
But first- in response to your suggestions:
1. The problem has been when the car is outside under the sky
2. All other apps work, in the car and on my phone
3. The setting- "safety>allow mobile access" has always been ON

My solution:
The removed and re-installed the Tesla app on my phone, and walla- all is well. Problem solved

And, by the way- This problem showed itself in two phones, mine and my better half's, and the solution of reinstalling the app in both was brilliant. Go figure.
Tesla changed the API recently and all apps that use it to obtain location were required to change how they called the API. Perhaps you were not getting the phone app update for some reason.
