Went by yesterday. No construction yet. Tables with umbrellas set up - looks like a good place to drink a beer and enjoy the clean air and sky. Mexican food within easy walking distance. I recommend the nearby Reata or Century restaurants fora nice dinner. Breakfast: Judy's Bread and Breakfast. Museum at Sul Ross is worth a view.
Drove by today on the way to Terlingua. Still no sign of any construction.

Looks like forms a transformer pad and electrical conduit for chargers.... just need to see the V3 boxes and SC equipment for the cone

I hope the crew would move to Terlingua after this supercharger gets online.
Exactly why I’m excited. Having to overcharge in Fort Stockton was always a pain too.
We’re headed to Big Bend in two weeks.

Generally from this point in construction it takes longer than that. Very much depends on transformer availability and the local power company.
It’s a pipedream. Im a little concerned since this is my first trip to Big Bend in the MY and I’ll be leaving the comfort of the SC network.
We will have access to 14-50 for overnight charging at our AirBnB. My plan to top off in Fort Stockton and head to Terlingua. Hoping that will be plenty for day trips around the park.
Any suggestion are appreciated.
As you said, top off in FS then anytime after that you can plug in do it no matter how short of a time it might be. It all adds up and you never know when an extra 1-2 % might come in handy. Speeds are slow in the park which helps a lot.
