The original location is closed but they are relocating to a nearby garage, which is currently under construction.Wait, National Harbor closed?
They do validate it. I tried it this previous December. I even went in and out of the garage entrance on N Fillmore St, so you don't have to go in the entrance right across from Whole Foods.I've heard they do. Time will tell.
Spotted the first unboxing of one of the superchargers. Aren’t these the 72 kW maximum?

But they are all guaranteed 72kW no matter how many people are charging. No need to worry about A/B pairs. It would have been a shock if this location didn't get the urban chargers.Yes, those are urban superchargers with a maximum output of 72 kW.
Those cables are longer and attached closer to the charge port than the Highway Superchargers, shouldn't have issues reaching a car. I do love those Urban chargers but I have only seen them used the cool way at one location, the East Palo Alto station has them back to back so you can use either side to plug-in. My first visit the pedestal I parked at was dead, but the pedestal behind it was fine so I just grabbed it's cable and reported the other station to Tesla. There sure are a LOT of different ways Tesla uses to position a charger.
The only thing I don't like about the Urban units is the lack of a light to attract your attention when trying to find the chargers in a big lot.

That's good to know. I was worried about charging speeds if the spaces were full because 36kW is not that much more than a typical charger. But they are all guaranteed 72kW no matter how many people are charging. No need to worry about A/B pairs. It would have been a shock if this location didn't get the urban chargers.
Now that the units are up, how much longer until they are operational?
Looks like they have to finish installing the chargers, which should be early this week. Then they'll need county permits finalized. Should be very soon. Now that the units are up, how much longer until they are operational?
Yeah, I agree. The weather shelter would have been nice, but at least you don't need to search two levels in case the first level is full.Looks like they put all 18 bays on P5....wish they put some on P4 as well for bad weather. Probably easier to wire all on the same level though!
How will the formal opening be announced? Do we have to check if it is operational each day or does Tesla update their website right away? They’re looking about complete. The tent is there as covering from inclement weather while crews were finishing the install
