They did that the week before, too. It was not showing up when I drove past Thursday, but it was open on Sunday.I bet they opened it up for the weekend, and closed it for work during the week. I know there were multiple Teslas in there charging.

Who guessed solar?
I bet they're going to install solar over the parking lot.
The shade would definitely be appreciated!
Good tip on cleaning. Those destination chargers are Gen 3 HPWC so the max they can provide is 48A. Also, there have been reports of people being charged by Tesla at some Gen 3 destination chargers (minimum requirement is 6+ HPWC).Visited this site during the week of Thanksgiving. The build-out of the site to its full capacity is well under way! Workers have already installed 13 additional V3 cabinets, and were getting ready to pull copper.

There are already 20 existing Supercharger stalls, and 13 more SC cabinets would increase that number by another 52 stalls! However, as I mentioned in my previous post (June 26), I only see 50 unused pedestals on the site. Perhaps I missed two pedestals? In any event, work continues to make this Supercharger a minimum of 70 stalls!
I also took a moment to check-out the destination chargers on the west edge of the parking lot. All 29 of them appear to be in good working order, and the five or so connectors I examined were not quite as dirty-looking as the ones I discussed in my June post. However, before testing two of the chargers, I gently cleaned both connectors with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip before using them. I have a used, pocket-sized hand sanitizer bottle that I’ve refilled with rubbing alcohol, and I keep it (and several Q-tips) in a zip-lock baggie in my center console. To clean a connector, I put a few drops of alcohol on a Q-tip, and carefully spin it around the outer edge of the two main connector pins, and repeat for the fiber optic connector. In the first photo below you can see the grime that was removed from the main connector pin closest to the camera.

Cleaning a connector in this manner is completely safe, since the connector is never energized unless a vehicle is actively charging.
I tested two of the destination chargers; both provided 48 amps of current (maximum for my vehicle).
Lastly, this was one of the Supercharger locations that was free to charge after 8 PM (and before 9 AM) during the Thanksgiving holiday. Predictably, the site filled up on the night I was there during freebie hours. Lots of cars were coming and going!

Okay then… not sure it’s worth opening and closing thanks for those pictures. The canopies are nice!

Lots of amenities? There's the bathroom and a bunch of shoe stores, but no food, right?
