Slowing down drastically decreases your kwh/mi.

Someone went 550 miles on one charge in an 85D...they went 25MPH the whole way. I realize that's drastic, but if you're running low on charge and worried about making it to your destination, just slow down and you'll get a lot more range. I'd rather drive at 55MPH than charge on an L2 charger along the way at 25MPH...unless I was planning on stopping there anyway.

Excellent pictures showing current state. I wonder if there is suddenly a shortage of charge cables. Does not bode well that those knife switches are still open.

Ok, this is really disturbing. I just checked threads for Southampton, Lindale and Shreveport and all show nearly completed installations with stalls minus the charge cables. I have been following supercharger installations for two years now and have not seen stalls installed minus cables.

Do they look exactly like other SpC cables? Maybe Tesla came up with something new, like they have with so much else lately, and they don't have a big supply of the new version yet? (Someone said the liquid cooled versions use a different cabinet design?)

Those are the new inductive charging stalls.

They are probably the liquid cooled cables. Maybe they will put the cables on after it passes inspection. Hope they do that tomorrow. I could use them Wednesday.

No worries there. No power is passed through until the handshake with the car happens.

I wondered the same thing.

I also wondered if they wait to install the cables to avoid confusion as to whether it is operational yet or not. Maybe there was some confusion prior to past openings, potentially leaving some wishfully optimistic drivers stranded?

Do SCs typically have sponsors? I found it interesting that the signs say "power supported by Weis"

There are a few superchargers like that. Burlington, VT comes to mind, the power is provided by Healthy Living.

I was going to say, the only other supercharger (that I know of so far) where the power is provided by/sponsored by the local business is Burlington, VT

It wouldn't surprise me that there are already/will eventually be more such Super Chargers.
