I'm used to bugs driving on the interstates in the US, but I hadn't encountered this type of bug before. They were fairly large and dense and made a sound as they hit the windshield, similar to driving through a light hail storm. Also when I got off the highway and was driving slowly, they would fly into the car anyway. Who knows why. Even walking around they would fly into my head lol. They didn't seem to bite though.
