We need to see a picture of the transformer before we can say we are close to energization did you happen to see one installed already or can you take a picture of the location of where it would be?
Credit goes to @DDotJ for posting a pic of the transformer pad. Just need a more current picture from a long beach local please!

Thanks all for the pics! I think @jeremymc7 grabbed a pic from under the enclosure (pic #4 above) which shows we are still waiting on the Big Boy that will be capable of providing the massive energy required for 20 V3 stalls. Hopefully this site will be rolling by Memorial Day.

Ya the transformer I am pretty sure is still missing and will go inside the same enclosure as the charging cabinets and switchgear. I believe what awokeinthelbc posted is an existing transformer for the property. We will know more as we see what gets installed in the coming weeks.

Yeah those pics as you mentioned are much older preexisting SCE equipment in a separate cage from the Tesla cage. I only took pictures of the new Tesla one with everything inside.

Pretty sure the transformer is going on the concrete pad you see there covered by plywood there that itself is cover the hole under the transformer.like the photo further up with the chain link fence coving the same.

Yeah I didn’t mention it. I tried plugging in last night as well. I knew it wouldn’t work as I checked out the power equipment in the cage first. But having never plugged in to a charger not wired up I thought I would just see the result. Wasn’t anything to report obviously.

Side note. The far left charger is obviously spaced apart from all the others. They have also changed the space thought the planter between the sidewalk and parking (chargers) to say allow wheelchair access. It really appears that spot will be one of the typically handicap van charging spots; but there is no paint marketing or signage. All the other signs and paint are done so it’s kind of weird.

Cones were removed from Fountain Valley #2 (Warner) weeks before they lit it up with power.

Still seems odd to have no cones, caution tape, or signage of any kind while no functioning units just sit there.

Also not a fan of the no obvious waiting line area since traffic will come from either direction. Cerritos has a decent layout where you can only enter and exit one way. I just wish that there was a curb in the middle as some people go to the end and queue up while others drive halfway through and make a hard left and cut off those that looped around.

New ETA is Q4 2021, sooner would be nice but some locations are scheduled for 2022. Lakewood location appears cancelled for now

The Suoer charger in Long Beach will be behind BevMo/Trader Joe’s pathing lot off 2nd st at Shopkeeper, looks close to finishing.
