I’ve occasionally raised my suspension to max for wacky steep driveways with deep dips at the street edge.

Post TX finally turned on. Mercedes TX finally turned on. So hopefully Ozona won’t be far behind. Knocking on wood!

But wouldn’t we see it in the app or car nav shortly after it’s turned on? Now that construction is complete.
I think I've read about it sometimes coming online a bit before showing up in the website/nav/app? Though that was a while back, maybe newer superchargers automate the process further.
I just charged here this afternoon, and it still doesn't show that it is on the network, but I charged in two different stalls while I was here, and its up and running. This will for sure help others when it shows that it is available for people to navigate to.

I just spoke with a Tesla technician who’s working on the chargers. I guess there were some technical issues, which is why it’s not officially open just yet even though they do work. He was re-attaching some lids that had blown off. I told him that we want this to be open for the eclipse traffic.

Yay, just in time for the eclipse!
Now the rest of West Texas needs some Supercharger love. We're still stuck with old V2 (and across most of my home state of New Mexico as well).

At least we now have alternating V2s and V3s for a long 1-10 stretch. San Antonio at Fort Worth Pkwy V3, Junction V2, Ozona V3, Fort Stockton V2, Van Horn V3, and now also V3s El Paso and Las Cruces.

Charging here worked great, sad that many don't know about it, apparently there's a 15 minute wait for the other charger in town, but only those who check this forum or recent Plugshare comments know about this option. Also met a friendly gentleman that happens to live in an adjacent town to mine, over 1,500 miles away, small world! 
There was a frustratingly long wait to order a smoothie (the eclipse-themed "Blackout Slush Float", which tastes a lot better than I'd expected) from the Sonic, but I guess that's not surprising given all the extra traffic coming for the eclipse. They seemed to be shortstaffed and having technical difficulties.

Heading here next. I’m at Fort Stockton now - waited an hour to get a charger. Currently 12 cars in line.
The old one is still open - and it shows as being full.
Since the new one doesn't show up in the app yet, perhaps there will be enough who don't about the new one and you can get a charge there.
