Stopped by yesterday. Underground cable has been run to distribution line on the street, but still no transformer

Any locals know if this might be open within the next couple weeks? Driving to ATL, would love to pick up a new one - and change my normal routine for the trip.
Looks like the new one in Greenville might be open soon.
Supercharger - Greenville, SC - Haywood Road
Still no transformer as of this morning. The contractor was on site taking the temp fencing down and working on other things. They are putting up a nice brown fence in front of where the transformer goes too.

The Supercharger in Cayce was delayed waiting on a transformer and several locations in Florida got delayed for the same reason. Not sure if this is a lack of transformer supply or local power companies unable to keep up with installations.
That's my guess as well. The waiting on transformer stage is often the longest.
I will stop by this weekend if no one has been by lately. Seems like its been at least a few weeks since the last update.
Still no transformer. I believe end of February was when this site was “ready to go” absent the transformer. So it’s been over 2 months of waiting.
Also 4 spots are marked 30 minute general parking. IMO this site is clearly a stop gap SuC on I-26 and I would expect a 12 stall site along the corridor soon in a more user friendly location.

I hope you're right. And I hope it's near the intersection of I-385 and I-26.
Power transformer shortage causes delays in building new homes
One upstate developer said without power transformers, people moving to Greenville will have a long wait to find a home.

Word on the street is the transformer has been installed now, but I have not been by to confirm.
Drove by today around 4pm. Transformer IS installed. Utility meter does NOT appear to be powered yet.
Yay! Great news! I am driving through on Thursday. I hope it is working by then so I don’t have detour through Greenville.
Coming through Asheville toward Columbia? It's about 138 miles between superchargers. Do you have enough range so you don't need to divert to GVL?
