Well, please tell them 6 stalls is not enough, haha we need at least 20 stalls V3 there.inside knowledge
Wish you could push for a Supercharger in Campbell River and/or Comox/Courtenay. Tough for Tesla drivers to explore past Nanaimo to the north or west.New supercharger location coming to Surrey - down the road from Guildford Mall. Majority of underground open to public now; SC and L2 chargers build out part of Phase 2 by end of year. Beyond the SC, there will be plenty of charging options in the parkade..This Save On Foods location is having it's grand opening (August 26th, 2021, this Thursday 7 am).
I wonder if underground parking will be open and possibly the chargers as well?
72kW is for “Urban Superchargers”, for malls, residential charging and areas where you might stop longer at.So wierd a 250KW next to a 72KW, guess they are abandoning the 72 idea. Always was painfully slow, but you could get some food and then sit there.
South Surrey, maybe Walmart parking lot the one in the corner of 24th ave and 160 street.72kW is for “Urban Superchargers”, for malls, residential charging and areas where you might stop longer at.
Nowadays, for reference, 90% of the Tesla's in BC are SR+ due to the $8000 Government incentives. Which come with a +/- 56kWh battery.
Which is maxed out at “160kW” but I have yet to see it charge that fast. More around 120kW max speed for 5 minutes next slowing down to mid 70-80kW’s above 50% SOC battery. Which is perfect for Urban Superchargers & V2 superchargers.
This location is 250kW because right off HWY, a connector point between Vancouver to Hope, quick 5 minutes stop and back on the road.
The other location is 72kW, because it is in a mall situation, and more for residential charging as people do not have home charging.
This also shows us that Burnaby will be 20 stalls, 72kW, at Brentwood mall, for residential charging, rather than travel charging.
Could be well be 12 stalls, V3, but these reaoucres at Tesla are scarce so I would be surprised to see charging speed to be chosen over customers served as more people charging = more revenue.
Also South Surrey/ White Rock, we sadly won't be getting covered parking, unless at the underground Grandview PC parking lot.
My money is Semiahmoo Mall, or by the Grandview BC Hydro station.
Place your bets, everyone!
This segway should be in a South Surrey Supercharger thread.72kW is for “Urban Superchargers”, for malls, residential charging and areas where you might stop longer at.

@wdelacruz sorry missed your response before I posted mine above, but 20+ stalls could easily be accommodated at Southpoint (anywhere along the central parts, or even toward the end that used to be Pier 1 and I forget what it is now). Morgan Crossing could also easily dedicate 20+ stalls in that middle section that runs between the Vancity->Thrifty arm and the LD->medical clinic arm.Once again, if Tesla were smart and did their research, 20+ stalls are needed and you can only fit 20+ in certain places in South Surrey around malls and amenities.
