I agree. We’re still waiting for the Tesla transformer..But there’s still an empty pad for what I think will be the supercharger transformer
Plus EV, you do get around!

all right! love the pics. thank you. how many different orientations are there in the Supercharger world? wow. i've not been to many that have the charging cabinets (with the charge cable) facing this way. only been to the "old-school" ones that are at the back of each stall against the curb.
Please update if you do. I'll likely be driving through Susanville on the 11th, would be great to have a functioning Supercharger!Worst case scenario, I'll be passing by Susanville June 6th

I checked the car's map this morning and nothing showing up as of today.
If the transformer pad is still empty, then there's basically nothing to update. Definitely take pics if the transformer is set though. And look for a meter!I'll be there this evening.
I'll take pictures and provide an update.
Fingers crossed it shows up in the car on the way this afternoon. Happened once before with the first Placerville supercharger!

The transformer is strictly a utility thing. Once Tesla has cleared electrical permit hurdles and paid any fees to the utility then the utility schedules a transformer install and hookup. The utility has their own criteria for scheduling transformer installs including equipment and crew availability.is the transformer a city/land owner thing? Tesla requests/purchases a "standard" transformer from a local utility to then install? This one seems about typical for having all installed (stalls/cabinets/etc), then wait a bit for the actual hook-up equipment. I want this one for Fall, but sooner is always a plus!
My God it's the summer traveling season. Set it up already local utility co!The transformer is strictly a utility thing. Yeah after actually visiting the site, I agree that the location is less than ideal. I don't mind it being off of 395 since there aren't many amenities or even places to put it out on the actual highway, but the casino is further off the Reno-Mt Shasta route than I remembered and the amenities are probably not that GREAT (haven't been inside the casino in quite some time so not really sure). One nice thing about casinos though is you have a 24/7 restroom and usually at least some modicum of food offerings at all hours of the day and night. There's also the gas station nearby which may be open 24 hours (casino gas stations often are). After they install the transformer, they will most likely have to install the fence before the site goes active. I am going that way in about a week. Doubt it will be active by then. Planning on Reno to Mt. Shasta. Model 3 LR.
I wish that it was down in the shopping center by McDonalds and Starbucks though.
I would go that route as well. But in this case, a 1 hour top off at the FREE HPWC while you have lunch would likely be sufficient to make the Reno-Shasta trip. I wasn't suggesting that someone should do a 6-hour slow charge just to save a few bucks. Sorry for the misunderstanding.I'm one of those who doesn't have free supercharging and although I like the idea of free, the quicker supercharge would be my choice. Susanville is not my destination, it's a waypoint.
