Posted pictures show 2 sign types: charging only and charging available. my guess is charging available means there's no legal prohibition to anyone parking there. as long as all spaces are not filled let it slide ... first-world annoyance. if filled, kindly inform store mgr you'd like to fuel both your body and car and you need the ev space for the car part if other spaces are available on the lot.

I can see your point, but sadly, not the same here. My reasoning...
On the Merritt Parkway in CT, there are a few gas station rest stops with Tesla chargers. ICE's can park in those stalls, but it clearly states, "NON EV PARKING 15 MIN. EV CHARGING 45 MIN MAX".

In Rhode Island, the law states:
Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Charging Parking Restriction
No person can stop, stand, or park a vehicle in a parking space where there is a PEV charging station and signage indicating that parking is for PEV charging only, unless the vehicle is connected to the charging equipment. Violations will be subject to a fine of $85. (Reference Rhode Island General Laws 31-21-18 and 31-41.1-4)§ 31-21-18. Electric vehicle charging station parking restrictions.
(a) For the purposes of this section, "electric vehicle charging station" means a public or private parking space that is served by charging equipment that has as its primary purpose the transfer of electric energy to a battery or other energy storage device in an electric vehicle.
(b) No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in any electric vehicle charging station provided on any public or private parking space if the vehicle is not connected to the charging equipment and where the electric vehicle charging station is indicated by signage identifying the station as an electric vehicle charging station and indicating that it is only for electric vehicle charging and subject to a parking violation.
(c) Enforcement of the parking provisions of this section shall be enforced by the local or state authorities on public or private property when the location of the parking spaces is within the purview of the state building code, chapter 27.3 of title 23.
(d) Violations of this section are subject to fines enumerated in § 31-41.1-4.

Simply stating EV CHARGING AVAILABLE isnt stating NON EV vehicles can park there as well until its needed, but it also isnt stating the opposite which the law clearly states is needed as well.
Adding, not having a stated time limit for ICE's leaves it open for all to park for eternity, which makes the law null. All that being said, corporate from Neon Marketplace was notified and stated parking there by ICE vehicles is an issue. They resolved it already and are not allowing it. Seems new signs stating such are needed, as in the end, youre right GTR!
