survey: debadge the roadster

Thanks for the feedback guys. If you look in the pictures, the last bar of the E fell off when I took it to a detailer.

How, I have to find a way to get it reattached.

This happened to me and dome relatively inexpensive 3M two sided tape has worked well.

Ditched the 'Roadster Sport' as the hand-script is not exactly as contemporary as the rest of the car .
And agreed with others, if I could find a 'T E S L A' decal to replace the chromed plastic stickons I'd use that - more subtle.
In UK Roadsters are pretty rare (somewhere between 40-50 and probably 1/2 of them in active use) - so Rear 'T E S L A' answers the question 'What's that ?'

My "E' got knocked off and two different occasions while detailing the car. So I took off the rest of the letters and put on a 'Lotus' decal. That'll confuse 'em! :tongue:

The red is pretty awesome, and I hate chrome, so I might consider a similar option, but maybe black on my arctic white.

We shall see.

You should try Plastidip. It's easy, works well, and is easily removed. I think I might try black on mine.

I thought about Plastidip. It's not permanent, which for me was a downer. It's also hard to get the shiny effect I wanted. The paint I used is a metallic metal flake, and I think that was needed to get previously chrome bits looking right. A matte effect can be different/interesting, but that's not what I wanted here.

I see no reason to debadge the Roadster. After all it will be a collectors car soon, so keep it as unchanged as possible.
