Taptes Model 3 USB Hub

Ordered on February 20th, received shipping notice on March 26th, received the hub today:)
Works fine - worth the wait.
I use a SanDisk 256GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive formatted as 2 drives for the cameras and music. Plugged in to the hidden port both formatted drives are active.

Finally got my Taptes USB hub and installed it, fits in there nice and tight, got rid of a grip load of USB splitter cables so this Hub it’s really nice to have. I installed a 500gb sandisk drive that fits inside nicely and connects to the inside USB-C connector. Partitioned the Sandisk to include Dashcam and Music. I regained a clean open cubby hole to add whatever I want inside it.

SanDisk 500GB Extreme Portable External SSD - Up to 550MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.1 - SDSSDE60-500G-G25 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078SWJ3CF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HTSKEbDJZV1F1

Receive my hub and wireless charging pad from TapTes today -- just installed and everything appears to work great. Can no longer user the long aftermarket cubby box I bought, but luckily I also have a smaller one that works fine. Getting the hub in took some fiddling but overall very happy with things.

Next time I want to order a TapTes product, I'll probably buy from Amazon rather than direct from the company.

bought two of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z2KQ719/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they are much cleaner over these bukly hubs. plus it supporting a forum member (@Navak ) (bonus).

picked up two of these usb cables https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NVJDDJ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

for the taptes wireless pad. the pad can do high output charging so long as you have a power bank or some other means to output the higher current. the navak will give you the ability to output a higher charge at its "charge only" port.

plus, these little cats are just a smaller footprint inside the cubby. with my ssd drive partitioned for sentry and music, two of these little splitters allow for both wireless pad connections , the ssd and one spare "data" port for whatever may come.

i tried to cancel the taptes hub but was unsuccessful. ill likely not use it and may end up giving it to someone who may be looking for one.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd call it bulky but the Taptes hub definitely prevents the use of a large console tray. I do like how it has USB-C plus the HD cubby though. You should be able to easily re-sell the hub (since they can take a long time to get otherwise) or gift it. I have a Navak one for my model X...works great but is kind of expensive for what it is. It is nice to support a fellow enthusiast though!

$22 each? Oof....yeah, that's a hard pass. I like the cleaner look of the hub and having the ports spread out and isolated. I hate fiddling with a splitter while trying to remove one of the plugged in devices.

LOL id say the tiny splitters are more clean to me because when you open the little hatch they are "stealth" enough that you don't see anything under there. no fiddling in my use case. ample space to unplug should I need to.

totally respect your mindset brotha. we all have unique setups so it's cool to share other options.

For those who have M.2 NVMe SSDs and are thinking about the taptes, they can fit just fine inside. no need for any velcro or 3M.
