Tesla auto steering with no AP

hello, this happened 3 times to me in 4 months. Today I was accelerating and suddenly I hear a peep sound and my steering turns left (and becomes stiff). I don’t have Autopilot so what could’ve happened? Why is the car doing this?



My canr is 2017 Model S 90D

The autopilot is trying to tell you to take it to the service center or the autopilot wants to go to the beach.

I think the camera is recalibrating. It happened to me once after a week in the tropics from Vacation. When I drove the car after a week of not driving it, turned on AutoPilot, the car wanted to steer left and immediately would disable autopilot.

I was driving on the same road I usually do before my vacation. However, after I drove across the road twice, re-enable autopilot, it returns to normal.

This is why I think the camera is recalibrating.

Yeah I do not have AP so I think its a different issue

The page doesn't say avoidance but the Autopilot Safety features come standard on every Tesla:

Yes I think thats what happened. Tesla Service Centre just confirmed with me

I did hear on a Plug your ride pod cast #61 where his Non autopilot Tesla intervened to keep him on the road while he was distracted.
