Interesting how strongly they emphasize that AP is only for highway use. I know that many other Model S drivers
beside myself use it in a much broader range of circumstances, mostly to good effect (though there are no shortage
of people complaining about its imperfections on one-lane gravel roads in the rain ).

way of "New Coke"
The way I understand it is that "Smartspeed" is that feature that automatically sets the TACC speed based on the speed limit. So you just have to pull the stalk and go the speed limit (+5 mph or whatever your preference is). They changed the behavior of the stalk in 7.0 but now have come up with a fancy name...
