Previous Brembo rear caliper was a cast cover over a floating slider brake. Revision is a floating slider caliper with a plastic cover. It's literally the same thing, one just brings a cost savings.
In all honesty while I generally dislike gimmicks I like the appearance, so while Tesla is cheaping-out on me at least they are whispering sweet-nothings into my ear while doing it lol.
