For me, I turn on the camera when I drive into my garage, and uses the rear camera as a marker to align the rear bumper with the edge of the garage. This is just something I do now in the age of Tesla Vision.

That’s fine in your own garage where you know the relative distance of everything. But when out and about you can’t really judge how far away the nose of the car is by the rear camera.
